Emerald
Born 16 weeks early, Emerald weighed one pound five ounces. She was on a ventilator for six weeks and spent over three months using extra oxygen. She also had surgery for a patent ductus arteriosus at nine days of age. She was discharged home on her four month birthday.
Emerald is now a beautiful, healthy two-year-old girl. She loves to read books and go to Native American dances.
